Taking Christianity Seriously

Some people who claim to be Christians like to put on an act, and make people think that they are living a life that makes them better than the next guy. A serious Christian will commit themselves to learning God's laws that are laid out in the Bible, and seek to live by those laws. It does not mean that they are going to live a perfect sinless life, as this is not possible.

To take Christianity seriously means to live a holy life keeping your thoughts on things above. It means keeping your mind off temptations and distractions of worldly pleasures that only lead to destruction and ruin. Serious Christians live committed to God's laws on a daily basis, to the best of their ability, with God's help and prayer. It does not mean that they are better than anyone, it simply means that they are taking God at his word, and trying to set an example from right and wrong.

True Christians will not judge others. They may suggest to them that their ways of living are not in accordance with God's laws. They can try and steer them in a direction that will better their life or their soul. Each person has the right to make their own choice. They can either choose what was set before them or go their own way and live in all kinds of destruction and turmoil.

Playing church and going through the motions will not bring much to your life. God knows your heart, and he knows who is truly serving him, and believing his word and what the Bible has to say about our lives. He knows the people who call themselves Christians, and are living a life that is not in accordance with the Bible. Those Christians who hunger and thirst for what is right will be blessed.
